  1. In a mortar and pestle coarsely ground the green chillies, ginger and garlic, just crush them enough to open the flavour.
  2. In a pot add the fish, bamboo shoots, tomatoes, salt to taste and the coarsely grounded mixture.
  3. Add water and cook for about 15 mins without stirring them.
  4. Adjust the gravy consistency as per your requirement.
  5. Add chopped coriander leaves, give a quick gently stir and take off the heat.
  6. Enjoy with piping hot steamed rice.
