  5. Add milk in the pan slowly and keep stirring beetroot
  6. Now cover it with a lid and let it cook on medium flame till beetroot is nicely cooked and becomes tender. It will take approximately 25-30 minutes to cook it.
  7. Once, beetroot is properly cooked, then add sugar and let it get dissolved in beetroot.
  8. Now add grated khoya, elaichi powder and few strands of saffron (kesar) and keep on stirring it for approximately 2-3 minutes
  9. Beetroot halwa is ready to be served. Top it up with roasted cashew nuts and plain kismish.
